Here is the rubric. 11/16-18: Students will deliver their speeches 11/12-13: Students created a Google Slides presentation to use as the visual aid for their speeches next week. 11/11: Students had class time to complete the white packet with information about their chosen job using a specific career program. Things like: employment outlook, wages, required education, relevant high school electives, job duties, etc. 11/10: Students began looking into the job they're interested in and collecting information. 11/9: Students took career profiler surveys and looked at recommended jobs Here are videos and other resources to help you prepare for your speech: "How to Give a Great Speech" Here are some example presentations: Health Educator: great use of pictures Clinical Psychologist: would make the font larger Surgeon: awesome conclusion slide Good examples: These intro slides utilize the picture's "dead space" and but words over it. Bad Examples:
The picture is little or off to the side or just looks awkward; it appears like the picture was thrown on the slide because it's a requirement instead of displaying it in a way that enhances the presentation. In the last example the words are over the picture, so it's hard to read...
