Here is the "Dickens to Now" worksheet. Here are examples of Dickens' writing. Here is the "Now to Dickens" writing activity. For the next 5 weeks, we will be reading Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. Since this is a rather difficult text, our main focus will be figuring out what reading strategies help us best. There will be reading homework every night with sporadic, unannounced quizzes. Since this book takes place during the French Revolution, there is some background knowledge that will help you. You may listen to the audio book here. The first quiz over Book One (pg. 3-48) will be on Monday, January 12th. |
