Know the characters: Carton, Darnay, Stryver, Lorry, Jerry Cruncher, Lucie, Dr. Manette, the Defarges, Miss Pross.... Know the reading strategies: (how to describe them) Sticky notes, 2 column notes, readers journal, summaries/sparknotes, mind-mapping Basic plot questions that have probably already been on a quiz or previously discussed in class. Review the notes you have taken so far to help you prepare! November 11- Dec 3 we will be reading 2/3 of Dickens' novel A Tale of Two Cities. We will practice a new reading strategy every day in order to find the reading strategy that works best for each of us! The summative will be 2 parts: 1. Mini project to demonstrate deeper connections and understanding of the story. 2. Short test over the various strategies and correctly using them to comprehend and evaluate a chapter of the story we didn't read and discuss together.
