Prompt: Write about a time when you learned a life lesson or were changed by an experience. Read six sample narratives below
Possible ways to begin your introduction:
1. Vivid description of the setting, character 2. Jump in to the heart of the action to get the reader excited, then step back and tell the story from the beginning 3. Start at the beginning of the story 4. Dialogue 5. A quote from a famous person, author, movie, etc. Make sure to explain the quote or provide some context so the reader knows how it relates to your story. 6. A string of adjectives 7. Preview the "lesson learned" 8. Include various allusions to other books, movies, situations, etc. where the character faced a similar situation to yours Remember: + You must include at least one line of dialogue somewhere in your narrative. + The conclusion paragraph should focus on the lesson you learned or how the experience changed you. This should be obvious to the reader.
