This week we're in the career center researching a career of interest before making a powerpoint presentation. Next week, we will learn a few speech basics before giving 2-3minute speech, using the powerpoint, to the class. Powerpoint = 100 formative points (Rubric) Speech = 100 summative points (Rubric) Example PowerPoint Helpful speech youtube videos: Inflection = What makes your voice interesting to listen to! Body Posture = How you physically present yourself (swaying, fidgeting, standing up straight, eye contact, etc.) Pacing = The speech flows from one topic to the next without spending too much time on one slide We will give our speeches starting next Thursday, December 11th in a randomly selected order. Postponing your speech a day will result in the loss of 10 points. |
